 George Lowe, LSW, is the Director of Client Services at The Center in Asbury Park, Inc. Mr. Lowe has a bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Mental Health from Metropolitan College, NY, NY and a Master of Social Work from Hunter College, NY, NY. As the Director of Client Services he plans, directs and coordinates activities necessary to centralize case management across multiple agencies with multiple disciplines and evaluates the effectiveness of these programs in Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

Steve Albert is the Director of Resident Services of Center House. Steve has a Masters of Public Health from Hunter College in New York City and served for over 15 years as Director of Communications, Director of Health Education and Director of HIV Services at the Callen-Lorde Community Health Center in Manhattan. As Director of Resident Services at Center House, Steve is responsible for the development of Center House policy & procedure alongside the provision of case management and advocacy for residents of Center House. Steve advocates for Center House residents by building on-going working relationships with HIV/AIDS Care providers, MICA partial care day programs, substance use treatment programs and the Monmouth County Department of Probation, Drug Court and Department of Social Services.

Clark Shannon, Director of Operations. Clark Shannon is the Director of Operations for Center House and The Center in Asbury Park. Formal education from the University of North Carolina in Charlotte includes a bachelor’s of science in both sociology and anthropology. Mr. Shannon has over four decades of public relations experience with iconic American companies: Eastern Airlines, The World of Coca-Cola and MTV-Networks. As Director of Operations, Clark oversees the day to day operations of The Center complex. Clark is responsible for the provision of safety and security provided for Center House residents, Center clients and Center staff and volunteers. Clark dedicates much of his time to help orchestrate and coordinate The Center’s signature annual fundraising events; the Jersey Shore AIDS Walk and Center a la Carte.

Colleen Volpe, Coordinator of Volunteers. Colleen has a Bachelor degree in Sociology from Chestnut Hill College and a Master degree in Public Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is retired from the Staff Development and Training Office of the Monmouth County Division of Social Services. Colleen, a vollunteer herself, schedules, trains and oversees the volunteers and their tasks. cvolpe@thecenterinap.com

Karen Wagner,  Chef. Karen provides Breakfast and Dinner for the Residents of Center House, oversees ordering and meal planning.
